Intuition Before Concept Before Intuition
d' Maxwell Owen Clark
I must learn how to count, … before I count things. The how comes before the that. Math is conceptual in its pedagogy, and intuitive in its practice. Other writing systems as well: conceptualized before intuited. Yet concepts are also just an accrual of intuitions, qua Kant. The intuitions actually came first, then, it's just that in their pedagogy they are presented in the re-form of their conceptualizations first, brought to bear on the child first because their phase of maturation is still yet before they can intuitively master and contribute, to whatsoever pre-intuitive conceptual fieldsxss they most desire or are apt for themselves.
